Dr. Mark Bartholomeow,
Ph.D.

Dr. Mark Bartholomeow is an academic quality expert with years of expertise within a global domain. Mark was brought up in the UK and completed his education there with a Bachelor's in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Keele, a Master's in Education from Sheffield University (undertaken when he was in his forties) and a D.Phil in Psychology from Oxford. Mark also has the prestigious Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults from the University of Cambridge. Mark worked for many years for the British Council as a teacher of English, something he found very rewarding, in Greece, Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia. He moved slowly into management positions until, in 1999, he was appointed Director of the British Council's branch in Chittagong and later assumed responsibility for teaching, examinations and libraries all over Bangladesh.

Mark joined University of Cambridge for a couple of years in 2004 and was in charge of examinations for the organization in South Asia. He then worked in Turkey as a consultant on training programs for corporate organizations, like Glaxo Smith Kline and Bosch Siemens. In 2008, Mark became the Lead Consultant for the Department of Education Open University of Maharashtra and designed the distance learning Diploma and Bachelor in Education qualifications for them, serving some three million students. In 2012, Mark became Head of Training for Saudi Electricity Company and was instrumental in setting up the company's regional training colleges. Since 2015, Mark has worked in quality assurance, teacher training and other educational services for BRAC University, Daffodil International University, IUBAT and private secondary schools in his adopted home, Bangladesh.
