Dr. Abul H. Azam is affiliated with the Center for Service Quality Enhancement (CSQE) as its “Industry Consultant (Academic)” for all academic accreditation programs. Currently, Dr. Azam is serving at North South University (NSU) as a professor of management. Dr. Azam began his academic career as a Lecturer in the Economics Department at Dhaka University, Bangladesh, from where he moved to the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) as a Staff Demographer. Dr. Azam went to Duke University, USA, to pursue post-graduate studies under a Ford Foundation Fellowship. He received his MA and Ph.D. in economics from Duke University. Dr. Azam has a long teaching experience in the USA. His academic contributions include publications in professional journals, and an advanced level book, — “Government subsidies and economic efficiency”– published by the Praeger publishing company. He has regularly participated in professional conferences in the USA. Upon return to Bangladesh, he worked at IUB and UIU, where he served as the Dean, School of Business and Economics (2016-2020). Under his leadership, the UIU School of Business and Economics received full ACBSP accreditation without any conditions or notes in June 2019. Dr. Azam was the Chair, Region 10 (2020-2021), and now a member of the executive committee, Region 10, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
